In a dispute between several drivers in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen, a 58-year-old was attacked and injured with an ax-like object.

In Böttgerstrasse, a verbal argument broke out between a car driver and a van driver on Wednesday afternoon due to a narrowing of the road, as the Berlin police announced on Thursday. The two men are said to have hindered each other in the onward journey.

During the dispute, the driver of the van got out and discussed with the 58-year-old and his 47-year-old passenger. Another driver then got involved and insulted the 58-year-old.

He got an ax-like tool out of his car and hit the 58-year-old several times in the neck. The two unidentified men then sat in the van.

The driver drives towards the injured – he saves himself by jumping to the side

When the 58-year-old took a photo of the van’s license plate with his cell phone, the driver drove towards the injured man. He jumped to the side and hurt his leg. After the car had disappeared, the van driver walked up to the injured man shortly afterwards, threw his cell phone on the ground and kicked and hit him several times. Then he fled again.

The injured 58-year-old received medical care on site. The alleged perpetrators escaped. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
