The victory in Detroit went to the Australian Will Power. He was ahead of American Alexander Rossi and New Zealander Scott Dixon. Earlier during the race, there was also a disappointing moment for Van Kalmthout when a pit stop completely went wrong.
Van Kalmthout had crashed early in the famous Indy 500 last week. The Dutchman, who started from third starting position, retired after 39 of 200 laps when he lost control in the second corner.
