It’s about Diogo Jota: Emotional moment in Liverpool game

Liverpool FC will face Wolverhampton on Saturday. The sons of the late footballer Diogo Jota will also be there.
When Liverpool play Wolverhampton Wanderers in their home game on Saturday, there will be a special moment before kick-off: Diogo Jota’s two sons, Dinis and Duarte, will accompany the players onto the pitch as warm-up children.
It is the first meeting between the Portuguese international’s two former clubs since the fatal car accident at the beginning of July. Jota died along with his brother André Silva in the Spanish province of Zamora.
The family was invited by Liverpool FC as guests of honor. They were already in the stadium at the start of the season against Bournemouth in August when mosaics with the words “DJ 20” and “AS 30” were shown on two stands. A banner in the Kop stand read: “Rute, Dinis, Duarte, Mafalda – Anfield will always be your home.” Mafalda, the family’s youngest daughter, was born last year.
Liverpool retired Jota’s number 20 after the accident in the summer. A statue is also planned at the stadium as a permanent reminder of the former striker. Jota scored 65 goals in 182 games for Liverpool.
