Diogo Jota died in a car accident at the age of 28. The police recently published initial findings. Now two alleged eyewitnesses are reporting.

Now there are supposedly two eyewitnesses that claim that this was not the case. On Wednesday, a Portuguese truck driver named José Azevedo claimed, according to the English newspaper “Mirror”, that Jota’s “super calm” vehicle was driven. Azevedo said he was the one whose video went viral from the shots of the burning car of Jota. According to his own statements, the truck driver also tried to help Jota and his brother, but was able to do “nothing”, as he probably said in a video. The English newspaper also reports.

Another truck driver who wants to have seen the brothers’ car, Jose Aleixo Duarte, told the Portuguese tabloid “Correio da Manha” that Diogo Jota’s vehicle had overtaken it at “moderate speed”. The truck driver also told the tabloid that the A52 on which the accident passed was in “bad condition”.

According to the Guardia Civil, a final report is still “in processing”, but will also include the traces of a vehicle. The two brothers were traveling with a Lamborghini on Autobahn 52 in the Zamora region in northwestern Spain. According to the police, the car first came off the street – and then caught fire.
