Their song ‘Dikke Pens (Clap Your Pens)’ was chosen by many tens of thousands of people from Brabant as the carnival hit of 2025. The victory party continued after 3 hours of Vurraf.
The denouement of the Kies your squatter election was on Friday afternoon during 3 hours of Vurraf. Only on Saturday morning did the winning artists see all the congratulations, because there was hardly any time for that on Friday. “I have a ‘like-thumb’,” says René van Rooij at Dwilradio on Omroep Brabant. “I am answering everyone on WhatsApp. I am halfway on Facebook.”
After the party at 3 hours Vurraf in Eindhoven, the winning artists went on for a while. “The ‘stoves’ still had to perform in Oss. And I was still on the bus with them, so I immediately participated,” says René van Rooij.
“It was a total surprise,” Jop Roeland looks back from the broken heaters. He was surprised with a special breakfast: “This morning we got Bossche Bollen and Champagne for breakfast. It is a sweet raid here and the first pilskes have already been drunk.”

‘Dikke Pens (Clap Your Pens)’ is, with a big wink, an indictment against all influencers Who only share ‘perfect’ photos on social media. The win complete the idea of the song, which you can be proud of a ‘fat pens’, complete. “It’s a bit of a message to all those appealers on Instagram: that’s how it is possible,” says René van Rooij.
Especially as a surprise, the win did not really come, Jop Roeland confesses of the broken heaters. “It must happen this year, when you see how well the song did it. We did see that we were a long way with the people in Brabant.”
