The outgoing Prime Minister was one of the thousands of recreational participants who were at the start in Egmond this afternoon. The frigid wind chill didn’t bother him. “It was harder now (than last year, ed.), but this is more Egmond. You arrive with your mouth contorted from cold, that’s how it should be.”
‘Hey Dickie, hey Schoofie’
Schoof was recognized by many people along the way. “That was a lot of fun,” he says. “They shout: hey Prime Minister, hey Dickie, hey Schoofie, put it on. That is really heart-warming.”
