Christian Wück named his 23-member squad for the National League games of the women’s national team against Scotland. With a debutant and four returnees, national coach Christian Wück goes to the duels in early April.
The 20-year-old Franziska Kett from Master FC Bayern Munich was first appointed to the 23-man contingent of the German footballers. Paulina Krumbiegel (Juventus Turin), Sydney Lohmann (Bayern Munich), Cora Zicai and Rafaela Borggräfe (both SC Freiburg) return to the squad after they had not been taken into account last.
Wück over kett: “Bring dynamics and explosiveness with”
Attacker Kett brings “a very good dynamic and explosiveness. With her skills we trust her to step into the national team and are convinced that she can call up over 90 minutes at the highest level,” said Wück. Rebecca Knaak (Manchester City) and Kathrin Hendrich (VfL Wolfsburg), both of them, are not in the squad, both of whom are laboratory on a thigh injury.

Who keeps the DFB goal?
The goalkeeper question becomes exciting, since Wück has not yet committed itself to his number one. The 51-year-old had previously used both Olympic heroine Ann-Katrin Berger (34) from the US Club NJ/NY Gotham FC as well as Stina Johannes von Eintracht Frankfurt, Ena Mahmutovic from FC Bayern and Sophia Winkler from SGS Essen.
However, Winkler has contracted a cruciate ligament tear and is out of the question for the European Championship. In addition to Borggräfe, Berger and Johannes are also nominated for the games against Scotland, Mahmutovic is only ready on call.

EM start on July 4th against Poland
The last test options in front of the European Championship for the DFB women in the Nations League will be the games against the Netherlands on May 30th in Bremen and on June 3 against Austria. The Wück team starts in the European Championship on July 4 (9 p.m.) with the game against Poland. The other group opponents are Denmark (July 8, 6 p.m.) and Sweden (July 12, 9 p.m.).
