In the ranking of the World Football Association, the German women’s national team slipped from the top three. There is also a new leader.
After the end of the EM semi-final in Switzerland, the German national women in the FIFA world rankings fell to fifth place. The team of national coach Christian Wück is behind world champion Spain, the USA, Sweden and European champion England. This emerges from the current ranking of the World Association.
Spain’s women take over the top position again despite the final defeat. The selection was defeated in the EM final in the penalty shootout, but nevertheless replaced the United States at the top. The Americans have led the ranking list since August 2024.
France, which had left Germany in the quarter -finals, improved from tenth to sixth place in the ranking. The DFB selection had lost the semi-finals against Spain 0-1 after extra time.
