The fourth place will be determined in the postponed duel between 1. FC Saarbrücken and Borussia Mönchengladbach (background). When will the DFB Cup draw for the semi-finals take place?

The DFB Cup draw for the semi-finals will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2024, on the TV channel ZDF as part of the program “das aktuell sportstudio” and can be followed live on free TV or in the media library from 11 p.m. The German U17 world champion Konstantin Heide from the third division club Spielvereinigung Unterhaching is the lottery ticket for the draw for the DFB Cup semi-finals, with Manuel Hartmann, Managing Director of Match Operations at DFB GmbH & Co. KG, acting as the draw manager. The show on ZDF is moderated by Sven Voss.

Which teams are in the DFB Cup semi-finals?

Bundesliga table leaders Bayer 04 Leverkusen beat league rivals VfB Stuttgart 3-2 in the DFB Cup quarter-finals after goals from Robert Andrich, Jonathan Tah and Amine Adli (to the match report) and moved into the round of the last four. 1. FC Kaiserslautern secured their place in the DFB Cup semi-finals with a 3-1 win against Hertha BSC (to the match report). Fortuna Düsseldorf eliminated FC St. Pauli 6-5 on penalties on the way to the DFB Cup semi-finals (to the match report). The DFB Cup quarter-final game between 1. FC Saarbrücken and Borussia Mönchengladbach did not kick off due to heavy rain and was postponed for the time being (as of now).

After FC St. Pauli (North Regional League), only one third and one fourth division team from the lower classes made it to the semi-finals of the DFB Cup. The Hamburg team failed at FC Bayern.

Arminia Bielefeld (3rd division) escaped Bayern’s draw in the semi-finals nine years after St. Pauli’s march through, but still lost 4-0 to VfL Wolfsburg.

Saarbrücken (Southwest Regional League) was the only team that made it to the cup semi-finals as a fourth division team. There it was over against Bayer Leverkusen.

How does the DFB Cup draw for the semi-finals work?

All fixtures will be drawn from one pot in the DFB Cup semi-final draw. The team drawn first enjoys home advantage. 1. FC Saarbrücken, as the only remaining third division team in the competition, will play their game in the semi-finals against Borussia Mönchengladbach in their home stadium if they are not drawn first.

When will the DFB Cup semi-final take place?

The dates for the DFB Cup semi-finals are April 2nd, 2024 and April 3rd, 2024.

Where is the DFB Cup semi-final on free TV?

The public TV broadcasters ARD and ZDF are allowed to broadcast a total of 15 DFB Cup games on free TV in the 2023/24 season, including the two semi-finals and the final. The pay-TV broadcaster Sky also has the broadcast rights for all 63 games in the DFB Cup.
