Just in time for national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s debut, DFB President Bernd Neuendorf joined the national team on their trip to the USA. Neuendorf was ill and did not leave for Massachusetts with the team on Monday, but the 62-year-old showed up at the DFB team hotel in Foxborough one day before the duel with the USA on Saturday (9 p.m./RTL) in Hartford/Connecticut.
The duel with the USA, in which Nagelsmann will be on the sidelines for the first time eight months before the home European Championship, will be followed by a second international match against Mexico on Wednesday (2 a.m./ARD) in Philadelphia/Pennsylvania on the eleven-day trip to America.
