As a dark top basketball player, Dewayne Johns was an attraction on Urk in the eighties. Actually, according to his then trainer, he was too good for the local Orca’s association. But Dewayne lost his heart to the Dutch Bianca and finally chose the polder. Last month he died in Emmeloord from the effects of ALS and FTD.
