Despite late goal, Telstar trainer Mike Snoei can live with a draw

Telstar seemed well on its way to take the three points in the bag at VVV-Venlo. Precisely in the last second, trainer Mike Snoei saw his team lose points. “In the end we should not exaggerate, we also had a hard time,” said the coach.

The Velsenaren are by far the team with the most goals against in the last ten minutes this calendar year. The team scored no less than 12 goals. It was a recognizable evening for midfielder Anass Najah. “We’re giving away goals again.”

So far, Telstar has scored just six goals in eight games. Midfielder Mihkel Ainsalu seemed to be the match winner and could have even scored two goals. However, his effort was well turned around by VVV goalkeeper Ennio van der Gouw. “It is not easy right now, because I assume that we will score it,” said Snoei, who thinks the 1-1 is a fair reflection of the match.

Telstar will play at home against Jong FC Utrecht next Friday. The Velsenaren are currently in fourteenth place in the first division with eight points from eight games.
