Denmark continued its leadership in Group C of the 2026 World Cup European Qualifications by beating Greece 3-1. Denmark broke the game early with the goals they scored in the first half. With this win, Denmark increased its points to 10 and was at the top with goal difference.
In the 21st minute of the match, Rasmus Hojlund opened the curtain and put Denmark ahead 1-0. In the 40th minute, Andersen’s goal, assisted by Mikkel Damsgaard, increased the difference to two. Just a minute later, Damsgaard came onto the scene and made the score 3-0 with Froholdt’s pass.
In the 63rd minute in Greece, Tzolis scored an assist from Ioannidis and made the score 3-1.
With this result, Denmark scored 12 goals and conceded only one goal after four matches and maintained its leadership in the group. Greece remained in third place with three points.
