Olympic champion Herrmann-Wick expects the second child

The Olympic champion of Beijing is happy with her husband about family growth. She announced news with a photo on Instagram.

Almost a year after the birth of her first daughter, Denise Herrmann-Wich expects young people again. The former biathlete and cross -country skier divided the news with a family photo on Instagram.

On that you can see Herrmann-Wick together with her husband, the former cross-country skier Thomas Wick, and daughter Jonna. The 36-year-old wrote: “Two small hands that will soon find each other. Two children’s hearts who will soon be on the side. Jonna becomes a big sister. And we can watch our love change again.” Daughter Jonna was born in April 2024.

Herrmann-Wick ended her active career in 2023 to have more time for the family. She celebrated her greatest sporting success with Olympic Gold 2022 in single over 15 kilometers in Beijing. In the past few years she has been the most successful German biathlete.

In the 2024/25 season, she worked for the first time as a TV expert at ZDF. At the World Cup start in the Finnish of the Finnish Contiahti in November, she was accompanied by her husband and daughter Jonna in her debut. The family lives in Ruhpolding.
