Unemployed people will have to pay more rent for their social housing if they continue to refuse work. Flemish Minister of Labor Zuhal Demir (N-VA) announced this at VTM NIEUWS in response to Christophe Deborsu’s RTL report about French speakers who live on benefits and refuse to work. “After 2 years, the rent will be increased to a level that is paid by someone who does work.”
