A delivery van ended up in De Sloot on Wednesday evening after a collision with a concrete block and a traffic sign on the N277 at Reek. The car also hit a truck. The driver of the car was injured and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The precise cause of the collision is still unclear. The car first collided with a concrete block on the roadside and then knocked over a traffic sign. Then the delivery van also scamped a truck.
The car eventually ended up in the ditch along the Elstraat. The delivery van was badly damaged. The truck barely suffered damage. A lane towards Zeeland was temporarily closed after the accident. The traffic was diverted.
