Delirious Telstar fans show a lot of respect for the absent foursome: “A lot of pressure on these guys”

The Telstar supporters left the stadium last night with a big smile. Their club won with one man less in injury time against TOP Oss, 1-0. “Delicious,” said one of the many enthusiastic fans. However, before the match it was mainly about the four absent players because of the rainbow shirt. “It’s a shame that it has to be this way.”

“Respect is always there,” says a fanatic Telstar supporter about the absence of Zakaria Eddahchouri, Leonardo Rocha de Almeida, Mohammed Tahiri and Alae-Eddine Bouyaghlafen. The foursome refused to play football in the rainbow shirt. Telstar plays annually in specially designed shirts as part of the ‘Telstar All Together’ campaign. “But I don’t think those boys should do that.”

The decision caused considerable division among supporters. While some did not appreciate the action, others were less concerned about it. “There is also a lot of pressure on those guys, and I think that as a club you can listen to that more.”
