The Löwen Frankfurt have strengthened themselves for the coming season in the German Ice Hockey League with NHL-experienced striker Joseph Cramarossa.
The 30-year-old Canadian, who last played for the Adler Mannheim, has a total of 68 games in the best league in the world. The lions did not provide any information on the contract period.
“We are very pleased that we have managed to sign Joe Cramarossa, a player who is very experienced, especially in North America, but who is also very hungry to prove himself in Europe and to show that – as a whole – he can be a top player in the DEL,” said Frankfurt’s sporting director Franz-David Fritzmeier.
Cramarossa was drafted in 2011 in the 65th third round by the Anaheim Ducks. He also played in the NHL for the Vancouver Canucks and Minnesota Wild. Last January, the left-handed shooter moved from the Wild organization to Mannheim.
Frankfurt will start the new season on September 15 with a home game against the Iserlohn Roosters.
