DEL-Klub Straubing on playoff course in the Champions League

The Straubing Tigers have their sights set on the knockout stage for their debut in the Champions Hockey League (CHL).

In the first European home game in the club’s history, Lower Bavaria defeated the twelve-time Polish champion Comarch Krakow 3-2 (2-0, 0-1, 1-1) for the second time and are on target with six points from the first three games.

Parker Tuomie (5th), JC Lipon (9th) and Taylor Leier (47th) scored the goals for the Tigers, who had won 4-0 in Poland in the opening match, in front of 3,558 spectators at the powder tower.

The Swedish champions Färjestad BK lost 6-1. The third opponent in Group F is the Austrian representative Villacher SV.
