Nordin Musampa will play in the green and white of FC Groningen from next season. The defender of Jong Ajax comes across transfer-free. Twenty-year-old Musampa will sign until the summer of 2025, with the option for another year.
In the summer of 2016, Musampa joined Ajax’s youth academy. He previously played in the youth at Zeeburgia, Elinkwijk and Almere City. Musampa made 28 appearances for Jong Ajax in the first division this season. The defender scored a goal and provided an assist. It did not come to a debut in the first team of the Amsterdammers.
From red-white to green-white
Kaj Sierhuis, Deyovaiso Zeefuik and Azor Matisuwa, among others, have already made the switch from Amsterdam to Groningen in recent years. “And Nordin also has a good basis and conditions to become an interesting player for FC Groningen”, explains technical director Mark-Jan Fledderus. “He is a left-footed central defender, who could also play as a left-back and possibly also in a controlling role in midfield.”
