Have you ever seen a dachshund with a beer sitting on the terrace? Or a dachshund with a denim jacket on or a cowboy hat on? The Zoetermeerse Dorpsstraat changes once a year to Deckelstad. The day on which owners from all over the country, and other European countries, go to our city with their beloved four -legged friends.

Partly due to the summer weather, the Dorpsstraat full of summer -dressed people and barking Keffertjes were flowing on Saturday 10 May. Dachshunds with hats, necklaces, caps and dresses walked over the ‘catwalk’ through the shopping street.
Run legs out of their bodies
While many enjoyed a cooling drink or a (dog) ice cream on the terrace, there was a dachshund race going a little further. The dogs ran the feet out of their bodies to be the first to reach the other side. Visitors bought clothing, accessories and pet supplies at the market stalls. The record of as many dachshunds as possible and their owners on a group photo has been broken. Eventually the photographer had difficulty with the 582 dachshunds on an image.

Do you look Gooische Women and do you ever see a brown dachshund coming in there? That is Castinghond Toon that among other things is in the picture With Yari. Toon brought like a Net Heertje with a hat on a visit to the Dachshund Day.
