Dear (60) ended up under truck and almost lost her foot: “The driver lives a few streets away. I can meet him every day”

At least four bicycle accidents in seven years, one with a fatal outcome: the intersection around Vijfstraten in Sint-Niklaas is a known black point. Dear (60) was the last victim. Last summer she was hit by a truck. She was in the hospital for four months and still rehabilitates. “Suddenly I didn’t see my foot anymore,” she says.
