A 39-year-old man from Sint Willebrord was arrested in Zegge on Friday night. Agents saw him driving around a quarter to three in the morning in a car with a trailer. No license plate was attached to the trailer.
When the officers let the man stop on the Am de Jongstraat, he immediately told him that he has no driver’s license. The car in which he drove was also not in his name.
Stolen license plates
When the agents glanced into the car, they saw burglar stuff lying there. Further research showed the car stolen license plates.
The man was then arrested by the agents. He was taken to a police cell complex. He was still stuck for questioning at the beginning of Saturday afternoon.
Origin trailer
The car was also brought to the police station for further investigation. It turned out that there were several license plates in the car. Where they come from is also investigated.
The agents also investigate the origin of the trailer, because it could not be traced in any way.
