The body of a woman was found in a ditch at the Waterwilg in Zevenbergen on Thursday morning. A passerby saw the woman lying there and called the emergency services. According to the police, it is still unclear what happened.
Police have cordoned off the area and are investigating. This is a wide ditch located next to a residential area. There is a field on the other side of the ditch.
Police say they do not yet know how long the woman had been in the water.
