DAX – the first bulls are positioning themselves before the Fed decision.

The DAX® ironed out yesterday’s losses at the start of trading. There was nothing more possible in the first hour of trading. No significant purchasing impulses came from the USA and Asia. Rather, investors are waiting for the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision this evening. The experts at UniCredit expect the Fed to take a break from interest rates. Among the individual stocks, the shares of Commerzbank, Delivery Hero, Encavis and Nordex stood out in early trading.

Rather, investors are waiting for the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision this evening. The experts at UniCredit expect the Fed to take a break from interest rates.

Among the individual stocks, stocks fell in early trading Commerzbank, Delivery Hero, Encavis and Nordex on. According to CFO Bettina Orlopp, the financial institution is benefiting from the increased interest rates. Delivery Hero showed a strong rebound in early trading and reached the resistance level at EUR 31.60. A breakout above the level could trigger further buy signals. The solar and wind farm operator is taking over a 17-megawatt wind farm and the wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has received a new major order.

Resistance levels: 15,743/15,816/15,868/15,957/16,043/16,117/16,337 points

Support levels: 15,461/15,560/15,609/15,628 points

The DAX® opened with an upward gap and subsequently climbed up to the resistance mark of 15,743 points. A breakout above the level has not yet been achieved. If the leading index breaks the mark, further upward potential opens up to 15,816 and further up to 15,987 points. RSI and MACD are positive. Nevertheless, investors should keep an eye on the support zone between 15,609 and 15,628 points. If the index falls below this zone, there is a risk of the consolidation continuing to 15,560 points.

Structured products like Bonus cap certificates could be an interesting alternative to direct entry. These securities are equipped with a barrier and a bonus level/cap. If the index is always above the barrier up to the final valuation day, the investor receives the cap – adjusted by the subscription ratio – paid out at the end of the term. Otherwise, however, there is a risk of loss. Factor warrants offer risk-taking investors the opportunity to participate leveraged by an upward or downward movement of the leading index. However, there is a risk of high losses if the stock moves in the opposite direction.
