Davis Cup Finals in Bologna, Glasgow, Hamburg and Málaga

The group stage of the Davis Cup Finals will take place in Bologna, Glasgow, Hamburg and Málaga. The organization of the country tournament has selected those cities in Italy, Scotland, Germany and Spain respectively for the group stage (September 14-18). The Dutch tennis players recently qualified for the Davis Cup Finals with a convincing victory over Canada (4-0).

Despite the heavy defeat in The Hague, Canada can still participate in the final round. The North American country, which took on the Orange squad without the top players Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov, takes the place vacated by the suspension of Russia with a wildcard. The title holder in the Davis Cup is not allowed to participate because of the war in Ukraine.

On Thursday, March 31, the sixteen participating countries will be divided into four groups in the draw. The best two from each group will qualify for the knockout round, from 23 to 27 November at a location to be determined.

In addition to the Netherlands and Canada, Croatia, Serbia, Great Britain, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and the United States participate in the group stage. Besides Russia, Belarus was also expelled from the country tournament because of its involvement in the war.
