Football legend David Beckham The name may soon sell products in Russia, says British magazine The Telegraph.
According to Telegraph, a company DB Ventures, which manages the rights of the Beckham brand, applied for a trademark name for Beckham in Russia last summer. The application was approved last week.
In the future, several products can be sold in Russia under the name Beckham. Examples include yoga mats, pets blankets, bedding, sleeping bags, curtains and diapers.
“Applying for trademarks is a routine part of the process of protecting our brands and spiritual property around the world,” comments to the magazine, a spokesman for DB Ventrures.
The Beckham family has previously visibly supported Ukraine. In March 2022, a football legend gave his Instagram account access to a Ukrainian doctor so he could tell about his work in the midst of war.
DB Ventures does not break the laws or sanctions of the UK. Beckham’s representatives did not comment on the Russian issue to the Telegraph.
