Danny Blind in De Kick-off about leaving son Daley at Ajax: “In that last conversation he broke”

Danny Blind is a guest in De Kick-off on TV tonight with singer Simon Keizer. Of course, Blind extensively discusses the malaise at Ajax and the controversial departure of his son Daley during the winter break. Blind: “In the last conversation we had with the management of Ajax, he broke. Daley is from Amsterdam and grew up with Ajax. The circle was complete for him and that is different now.”

A return from Daley to Ajax is not obvious according to father Danny. He does, however, keep the door ajar. “Never say never”. The chance that he himself will take up a position at Ajax again in the short term is also not very promising. “I’m no longer going to be a trainer, technical director or head of training. I’m retired. I liked my last position as a Supervisory Board member (Supervisory Board, ed.), but I couldn’t agree with the policy of this summer. I would definitely do a national team with Louis (Van Gaal, ed.). That has a different intention than a club.”
