A man on a bicycle was scooped by a car on Monday afternoon in Geldrop at a crossing place. The victim was seriously injured. The accident happened around four o’clock on the Johan Peijnenburgweg.

Two ambulances and a trauma helicopter were called in to provide the man. The road where the accident happened is closed to traffic so that the emergency services have plenty of room.

The victim was brought to the trauma center of the Elisabeth-TweeSteden Hospital in Tilburg with an ambulance.

It is not known how the driver of the car is. The windshield is partly shattered in the collision.
