Cyclist Ramon Sinkeldam to Alpecin-Deceuninck for two years

Cyclist Ramon Sinkeldam will ride for Alpecin-Deceuninck for the next two years. The 33-year-old resident of Assendelft would switch to B&B Hotels this season, but the French team is in need of money. As a result, Sinkeldam was looking for a new team.

That search did not take long. The North Hollander will become part of Jasper Philipsen’s sprint train with the Belgian team.

“It sounds a bit cliché, but it’s just the truth. I’m very happy with the opportunity I’m getting,” says Sinkeldam. “I’m super motivated to become part of the sprint train and share my experience with the other guys.”

The cyclist immediately goes to training camp with Alpecin-Deceuninck. Sinkeldam has been driving for the French Groupama FDJ for the past four years. Before that, he drove for the current Team DSM for many years.
