A cyclist was hit by a car on the Hoofdstraat in Hoogezand on Sunday evening. The victim was taken to hospital.
The motorist should have given way to the cyclist, says a witness who was on site after the accident. The woman lay on the asphalt for some time in great pain and was then taken away by an ambulance.
