David Lappartient remains President of the Radsport World Association UCI for four years.
The French politician was confirmed on Thursday at the Congress of the Union Cyclist Internationale on the sidelines of the World Championships in Rwanda’s capital Kigali, there was no opponent.
Lapp-like has been a UCI president since 2017, followed by the British Brian Cookson.
“I feel honored to have been re-elected for a third term as a UCI president,” wrote Lappartient at X: “I am grateful for the trust and I am pleased to continue cycling further worldwide.”
Lapp -like has also been a member of the International Olympic Committee since February 2022. Last year, the 52-year-old ran for the successor of IOC President Thomas Bach.
