Cycling star Tadej Pogacar gives the all-clear after a fall

Exceptional professional cyclist Tadej Pogacar gave the all-clear after his fall on Sunday in the Liège-Bastogne-Liège classic.

“I’m lucky it’s just a broken wrist considering what a crazy accident it was,” wrote the Slovenian on Instagram on Monday under a picture showing him with his hand in a cast.

In the direction of his rival Remco Evenepoel, winner in Liège, he sent a challenging message: “Congratulations on the win, our duel will have to wait until next time.”

After winning the Amstel Gold Race and Fleche Wallone, the 24-year-old missed the rare Ardennes triple and the associated crowning of his strong start to the season due to the fall on Sunday. Starting the Tour de France from July 1-23 should not be in jeopardy for the overall winner of 2020 and 2021.
