With the classic prologue and profiled stages, the organizers of the Deutschland Tour hope for a new second thriller.
The route presented offers chances of success from 20 to 24 August as well as hill -resistant classic drivers. Sports chief Fabian Wegmann hopes for a short decision after five days and 741 kilometers from Essen to Magdeburg. Since reintroducing the only German tour in 2018, there have never been more than 22 seconds between the winners and the second place.
Royal stage from Arnsberg to Kassel
At the start, there will only be small distances in the three kilometer prologue in Essen. On the following days there are 1,000 meters of altitude, the preliminary decision will probably fall on the demanding penultimate stage from Arnsberg to Kassel. Sprinter have another chance at the final between Halle and Magdeburg.

1st stage (August 21): Essen – Herford, 197 km
2. stage (August 22nd): Herford – Arnsberg, 189 km
3. stage (August 23): Arnsberg – Kassel, 184 km
4th stage (August 24): Halle (Saale) – Magdeburg, 168 km
