Secret about Cybertruck

After production and delivery of the Tesla Cybertruck has been repeatedly postponed in the past, the vehicle is apparently close to its debut. During a conference call in April of this year, Tesla CEO Musk said he hoped the first vehicles could be delivered as early as September 2023, according to Business Insider. However, while invitations for a delivery party that has not yet been planned are likely to be sent out, many of the customers who have spent $100 to reserve the futuristic-looking Tesla SUV over the past few years don’t yet know exactly what to expect.

Details about the Cybertruck have not yet been published. Questions about range, horsepower and prices remain unanswered for the time being. When the vehicle was presented in 2019, there was still precise data about the vehicle. For example, the US company advertised a starting price of $39,900. In addition, the SUV should have between one and three engines installed and a range of 400 to 800 kilometers should be able to be achieved. However, around two years later, this information disappeared from the Tesla website. Tesla fans are becoming increasingly impatient and demanding more detailed information about the SUV. Those who pre-ordered the car told Business Insider that the decision to buy the vehicle would ultimately depend on the price. How and when the Tesla Cybertruck will finally come onto the market remains unclear.

Genesis with more details

While Tesla has held back most of the time with more detailed information about its Cybertruck, Hyundai subsidiary Genesis announced details about the GV70 weeks before sales began. The company started production of its all-electric GV70 SUV at its plant in Montgomery, Alabama. Genesis also published specific details about the electric vehicle in February 2023, before sales began in March 2023. The GV70 is, as The Street reports, the luxury brand’s first model to be built outside South Korea. According to the company website, the starting price of the electric GV70 is 69,580 euros. The standard version of the vehicle also has 490 hp and a range of 455 kilometers.

Hyundai also produces the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, which represent increasing competition for Tesla and other electric sedan manufacturers.

Kia introduces electric SUV

Kia, another Hyundai subsidiary, is now challenging Tesla and other electric vehicle brands for the first time in China. During a statement on EV Day at AutoChengdu in China, the company unveiled its Kia Concept EV5 sports utility vehicle, The Street reports. The South Korean automaker plans to launch the EV5 later this year, initially in the Chinese market, before eventually making the product available worldwide. “It is my great honor to proudly announce that Kia is entering the Chinese electric vehicle market,” said Ho Sung Song, president and CEO of Kia Corp. “The Kia Concept EV5 is another crucial step in our journey to become a leading provider of sustainable mobility solutions to create a better future for all. Kia will enrich our customers’ lifestyles and give them the opportunity to experience personal adventures, by setting new standards for dynamic and efficient electric driving.”

The Kia EV5 features a futuristic design inspired by Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, the company said. The front of the vehicle features the new Digital Tiger Face, which exudes cleanliness, dignity, strength and robustness and is a subtle homage to the famous Kia Tiger Nose grille. The vehicle also has 21-inch wheels and an aerodynamically improved roof spoiler.

Although Kia hasn’t revealed exact details about the electric vehicle’s range and price, it is expected to be powered by an 82 kWh battery with a range of around 600 kilometers.
