Wessel Been can now rightly be called ‘the cup hero’. The AFC player scored the only goal in the match against RKAV Volendam (0-1). He also did this a round earlier against PEC Zwolle (1-0). The victory puts AFC in the third round of the KNVB Cup.
Despite the bad weather, 2,500 tickets were sold for the cup showdown between RKAV and AFC. The home team moved to the stadium of big brother FC Volendam, as the lighting installation at the club is not of the required quality.
