The relatives of Sam and Ineke, the couple who were brutally murdered in Weiteveen last year, have announced that they will hold the police liable for negligence. Despite numerous reports of threat and violence from the perpetrator, Richard K., there was insufficient action, according to the relatives, to protect them.
