Contrast couldn’t be greater: spring here, code red in the Netherlands – Dashcam images show accident on slippery road

According to the road services, “accidents are raining” in the north of the Netherlands due to large-scale ice. The KNMI, or the Dutch KMI, has declared a code red for the provinces of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe due to the treacherously slippery roads. There are also no trains in the region, hospitals are canceling their appointments and there is an advice in force to stay indoors. The contrast with our country could not be greater: according to our weatherman, we are getting a foretaste of spring today.
