No bats, but there is a rare cave spider in the winter home of Stadspark Winschoten

According to IVN biologist Aart Jan Langbroek, no bats were found during a recent visit to the bat winter roost in the Winschoten City Park. Yet the shelter turned out to be anything but empty. Various other animals use the shelter to hibernate, including the cave spider.
