Jadon Sancho experienced the most successful time of his career at Borussia Dortmund. Consequently, the English offensive player is repeatedly associated with a possible return. BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl commented on the speculation in front of the club World Cup in the USA.
“The contact with Jadon is of course always there, in some way, because you have a very long past,” said Borussia Dortmund’s sports director Sebastian Kehl in a media round regarding Sancho rumors.
At the same time, the BVB official revealed that a possible return action is currently “not an issue” for the black and yellow. “We have other priorities at the moment and therefore the personnel around Sancho may have been played more in the media than discussed internally,” Kehl clarified.
Most recently there had been speculation about a potential Sancho comeback at Borussia Dortmund.

The wing player had the best time in his career in the service of the Westphalia. The 25-year-old was initially switched from Manchester City’s youth department to BVB in 2017. At the Bundesliga club, he then achieved the big breakthrough in the professional business.
Manchester United turned seriously in the summer of 2021 and put the rumored transfer fee of around 85 million euros on the table for the 23-time international of England. As a result, Sancho could not meet the great expectations at the Red Devils.
In the second half of the 2023/24 season, a loan followed to BVB, where Sancho knew how to please again under the then head coach Edin Terzic. Then the trained right wing continued to Chelsea.
The Conference League winner, however, probably dispenses with a firm obligation and is said to pay a punishment for Manchester United. Sancho’s working paper at the English record champions is still valid until 2026.
