Consumption in Catalan homes has registered a continued decline since 2008. In the last decade alone, consumption has gone from 27 kilos of fish per person per year to 18 kilos. Every year more than 200 different species of fish and seafood, but on average consumers only know a maximum of five. The consumer also admits that in general they always buy the same types of fish.
