Consultant battle for BVB talent Youssoufa Moukoko? 30 million package needed

BVB future questionable

On November 20, 2022, Youssoufa Moukoko will be 18 years old and will be allowed to sign a new contract himself. Borussia Dortmund has been working for months to ensure that this takes place with the black and yellow and that the youngster, who recently took off, binds himself to the club in the long term. According to the “Sport Bild”, which provides the background to tough poker, an extension of Moukoko at BVB is currently questionable.

The striker’s contract, who was the youngest player in Bundesliga history to score at least ten goals and will also be one of the big winners in today’s market value update, ends next June. And Moukoko recently promoted himself vehemently with a total of twelve goals in 21 competitive games in 2022/23. According to the magazine, a consultant battle has broken out around him: Because of the favorable constellation at Moukoko – talent, age and expiring contract with the prospect of a high bonus money – there is fierce competition because almost all major consulting agencies are said to be vying for the offensive man.

Moukoko, who is given very good chances for a World Cup nomination by national coach Hansi Flick on Thursday, will be represented by Hamburg consultant Patrick Williams from “Wasserman”. According to reports, the agencies “Unique Sports Group” and “ICM Stellar Sports”, which are well networked in England, are trying to win the favor of his client. In addition, the now deceased star advisor Mino Raiola is said to have been among those interested in the past. However, Moukoko has decided to stay by Williams’ side.

At the end of September it was said that the talks between Borussia and the player side were stalling and that the negotiating parties would differ by 2 million euros in salary. According to “Sport Bild”, Moukoko is now demanding up to 7 million euros per year, while BVB is said to have recently increased its offer, which is ready to be signed and which provides for a long-term extension, to up to 5 million euros as a result of the attacker’s strong performance. After the last matchday of this year, they want to sit down again because an agreement has apparently not been reached so far.

BVB and the fight for Moukoko: competition from Liverpool, Man United & Co.

However, the competition is also high among interested clubs and is growing. According to “Sport Bild”, Moukoko is on the list of “the big clubs”, including Liverpool FC and Manchester United. The total package that would have to be raised amounts to over 30 million euros, consisting of salary, commissions, earnest money, bonuses and insurance. In England, up to 10 million euros in earnest money for Moukoko and his agent are possible, an amount that BVB is unlikely to pay. Agent Williams meanwhile denied the magazine’s allegations by the player’s father that he was only interested in money. Moukoko is at odds with his own family.
