The former asphalt plain at the station makes way for a car -free zone with trees, grass spots, wild plants and hiking trails. Only the buses of De Lijn can still pass there.
Together with, among others, the Muziekcentrum, Casinoplein and the Appelentuin, the Conservatory Park forms a green hiking connection between the station and Kortrijk Weide. “The city is therefore fully committed to climate resistance and life quality,” says ships of urban renewal Wout Maddens.
