Has “quickly settled down”
Timon Wellenreuther is making a permanent move from RSC Anderlecht to Feyenoord Rotterdam after his loan expires. The Dutch top club confirmed on Friday that they had decided to sign the German goalkeeper on a permanent basis and that they would exercise their option. The 27-year-old has signed a contract until June 2025 with Feyenoord, who ended the Eredivisie season with the 16th championship title in their history.
Wellenreuther was between the posts 14 times in 2022/23, twice the former Schalke player kept his box clean twice as a substitute for Justin Bijlow (25), who had meanwhile injured his hand. “I found my feet here quickly and I’m glad I was able to contribute when I got the chance. I’m looking forward to continuing the upward trend together after the summer break,” said Wellenreuther.
