The health of country star Dolly Parton, 80, raised concerns after she canceled her concert in the fall of 2025, citing health problems.

The star is now talking about his health for the first time after months of silence at the 41st anniversary of his theme park Dollywood.

– I haven’t been on concert tours, as you know. I’ve had a few minor health problems, but we take good care of them, he began.

Parton’s husband Carl Dean died last March. She says her health problems are related to the man’s death.

– I’m just a little exhausted and tired, I’m mourning Carl and other little things. I had to rebuild myself mentally, emotionally and physically. But everything is fine. It didn’t slow me down, he says.

Carl Dean was 82 years old when he died. The couple was together for 60 years. Parton was only 18 when they met.

Last year, Parton canceled all of his December appearances due to health issues. At that time, doctors forbade the star to perform due to health problems that required surgery. He was not seen at the awards gala held in November either.

– I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God’s done with me yet, and I’m not done yet,” Parton said at the time.

Concern was also raised in January, when a concert was organized in honor of Parton’s 80th birthday, in which she herself did not participate.

– I just want you to know how much it makes me happy that you all come to celebrate my birthday and listen to my songs.

– I so wish I could have been there. But I’m sending you all my love, that’s for sure, Parton said at the time.

Parton’s spokesperson reassured the media at the time by saying that the star had no intention of attending the concert.

– He was never supposed to go there, and he was never told that he would arrive there for the concert, so he is not leaving anything. He was never going.
