Three years ago there was great concern: Would Jon Bon Jovi ever be able to sing again – and would this possibly mean the end of a rock band that has actively shaped the genre since the 1980s? But Bon Jovi is not history yet – on the contrary. The group is back – with a tour.

The planning is in place

“Did you miss us? Bon Jovi are back on tour,” the band’s website said in a statement dated Oct. 22. In it she announces seven international tour dates, which lead from New York to Edinburgh to London. “This marks the band’s long-awaited return following Jon’s highly publicized vocal cord surgery,” the band wrote.

“There is so much joy in this announcement,” said Jon Bon Jovi. “Joy that we can share these nights together again – I’m grateful to the fans and the band for giving me time to heal,” he added. “I’m ready and excited.”

This is how you get tickets

The exclusive fan pre-sale for the USA starts on October 27th at 10 a.m. Registration is available on the Band website possible. General sales begin October 31st at 10am.

Fan pre-sales for the shows in Great Britain and Ireland are a little more complicated. To take part in the first presale, fans must pre-order the album “Forever (Legendary Edition)” from the band’s official store. This means that anyone interested can secure their first tickets. This fan pre-sale begins on October 28th at 9 a.m.

General sales will then start on October 31st, as in the USA. It is not yet known how much the tickets will cost.

Complex vocal cord surgery in 2022

In 2022, Jon Bon Jovi had to undergo surgery on his vocal cords. “I had to have major reconstructive surgery on my vocal cords and I had never experienced anything like that,” the singer explained to fans. He described the process as a difficult journey and said a vocal cord was literally atrophied, requiring medical intervention.

Bon Jovi found a doctor in Philadelphia who performed what was known as medialization. This treatment was necessary because one of his vocal cords was barely functional. The singer spoke of a plastic implant that had been inserted almost two years earlier and a long rehabilitation period that eventually allowed him to fully recover.

The rehabilitation process was captured in the 2024 Hulu documentary Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.

New album: “Forever (Legendary Edition)”

Bon Jovi’s upcoming record “Forever (Legendary Edition)” will be released on October 24, 2025. The LP is a reinterpretation of the album “Forever” from 2024.

The long player contains 14 tracks and also features well-known guests such as Bruce Springsteen, Avril Lavigne, Robbie Williams, Joe Elliott from Def Leppard and Jelly Roll. The single “Red, White and Jersey” has already been released, as have the features with Bruce Springsteen (“Hollow Man”), Jelly Roll (“Living Proof”) and Robbie Williams (“We Made It Look Easy”).

After the operation, Bon Jovi asked friends for help

“This album is more than just a collection of collaborations, it’s an album born out of necessity,” Bon Jovi said of the reinterpretation, according to US Rolling Stone. “In the studio I could sing well enough to record, but the vocal demands and rigors of touring were still beyond my reach. Unable to tour or promote an album we were all very proud of, I decided to ask some friends for help.” They are all “great singers, artists and just great people”.

A joint effort: “It’s about US”

Bon Jovi added: “The result is an album with a new perspective and a new spirit – a collaboration album that proves that we can all get by in this world with a little help from our friends.” He feels great joy and gratitude when releasing this album, and that is also reflected in the music. “I can say with certainty that there is always something bigger than ME, and that is WE.”
