Beyoncé has set several new records after completing her extremely successful “Cowboy Carter” tour. The tour is now officially considered the highest sales country tour ever.
The 32 shows of comprehensive tour achieved loudly “Billboard Boxcore” Impressive $ 407.6 million with 1.6 million tickets sold. (Boxcore has been collecting tour dates and numbers from various industry sources -including artists, venues and promoters for almost 40 years.)
Over $ 400 million – a novelty in the country
In addition, Pollstar, the industrial magazine in the concert industry, also confirmed that the “Cowboy Carter” tour had brought over $ 400 million-a feat that no other country tour made before. They also found that Beyoncé is the first American artist ever to have two separate tours with over $ 400 million each-after their Renaissance tour 2023, which recorded $ 579 million over $ 56 shows.
The fact that “Cowboy Carter” with 24 shows achieved less comparable sales is another remarkable performance. According to Boxcore, it is now the shortest tour ever that broke through the 400 million mark-by a large distance to the competition. These include the Renaissance tour (56 data), the No Filter Tour of the Rolling Stones (2017–2021, 58 data) and Metallicas currently running M72 World Tour (previously 60 shows).
Nine cities, full stadiums – record tour with concept
After the comparatively long Renaissance tour-its first headliner tour since the World Tour 2016 formation-Beyoncé followed a slightly different approach with “Cowboy Carter”: more shows in fewer cities. In total, she only played in nine cities, including five nights in Los Angeles, five in the New York area and six concerts in London. The tour ended this month with four consecutive nights in Atlanta and two final concerts in Las Vegas.
Career highlights, family moments and premieres
Although the tour of the tour was on “Cowboy Carter”, the setlist also included highlights from Beyoncé’s entire career – as well as regular appearances by their children Blue Ivy and Rumi. During her concert on June 19 in Paris, she welcomed Miley Cyrus to the live premiere of “II Most Wanted” on the stage. And in addition to JAY-Z and Shaboozey, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams also performed at the Tourfinale in Las Vegas for a reunion from Destiny’s Child.
The tour is also an end of Akt II
The end of the “Cowboy Carter” tour probably also marks the end of the second act of Beyoncé’s planned album trilogy, which started with Renaissance. In addition to the overwhelming tour success, “Cowboy Carter” also represented a musical milestone for Beyoncé: she finally won the grammy for the album of the year.
