Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln will have to do without central defender Rav van den Berg in the first two games of next year.
The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) banned the Dutchman from the guest appearance in Heidenheim and the duel with Bayern after his red card. The judgment is final.
In the game against Union Berlin (0-1) in the 82nd minute, van den Berg prevented the opponent’s clear chance to score with a handball and was sent off for it. The 21-year-old will only be allowed to take part in the start of the second half of the season against FSV Mainz 05 on January 17th.
In the 2nd Bundesliga, Herthan’s Toni Leistner was suspended for one match after his red card against Arminia Bielefeld.
