After six months, RB Leipzig prematurely canceled the loan of defensive talent Jonathan Norbye to Arminia Bielefeld. The 18-year-old Norwegian is returning to the Red Bulls for the time being, and another loan deal is on the cards. Norbye had made eight appearances for East Westphalia, but only for the second team in the Oberliga Westfalen. He was originally supposed to stay until the summer, his contract with RB is valid until 2028.
“Unfortunately, we were currently unable to fulfill his understandable wish for more playing time in the professional field. That is why we have come to the joint decision that returning to Leipzig at this time is the right step for him. We would like to thank Jonathan for his professional commitment and exemplary behavior and wish him all the best for his future career. The same also applies to the good cooperation and the always positive exchange with those responsible at RB, who closely supported his loan,” said DSC managing director Michael Mutzel.
