Mourning for Hannes Linßen: The former Fortuna player and coach died at the age of 76. The club announced this on its website.
Fortuna President Hanns-Jörg Westendorf said of the sad news: “I am personally very saddened by his death. I knew and appreciated him as a player and coach. He was an interested companion and observer of the club in recent years, we were in regular contact. He always identified himself through Fortuna. That was his club. Our thoughts are with his wife Liesel and his son. My heartfelt condolences.”
